Welcome

Welcome to the Project C² website.
Project C² (Career Connections) is a program available through NWF State College for area high school age students in either public, private, or home schools. Project C² is designed to generate student interest in pursuing a career in science, math, or engineering. Project C² allows students to experience how academic theory relates to real world careers in the biological sciences, physical sciences, math, and engineering through learn-by-doing projects and workforce-related activities.
Project C² participants enroll in an elective college credit course (3 credits), called Integrated Science and Math, which can be taken for up to six credits total. The course may be taken for either a letter grade or on a Pass/Fail basis. Students who meet eligibility requirements can Dual Enroll. Credits earned for the course may be applied to both high school and college elective requirements through the statewide Dual Enrollment program. Project C² students utilize NWF State College-level science facilities and laboratories and are directed by college doctoral-level faculty. Participation in the program is free of charge to eligible students. Dual enrolled students will have the use of a personal laptop for the duration of their enrollment in the course.
Students are encouraged to participate in all three levels: Engage, Explore, and Investigate. Activities in the three levels include applications, laboratory experiments, real-life research projects, guest speakers, field experiences, career chats, simulations, and other "hands-on, minds-on" approaches.
